Award Nominated writer Mark Goldthorp has been writing for twenty years. His most notable work- DISTANCED, set during the 2020 and 2021 lockdowns, was nominated for an Off West End Award for Best Online Series. DISTANCED starred household names such as Lesley Joseph, Samuel Barnett, Aaron Sidwell and Carley Stenson.
In addition to DISTANCED, Mark has written four original plays; All Things Nice (White Bear Theatre), Janus Table (Stockwell Playhouse), Stretched (AMTA Studios) and A Piece of You (Rehearsed Reading, AMTA Studios).
Mark is also in development for a new play 'All Through The House', which recently received it's first reading, and a five part TV drama entitled 'Front'.
Mark is also a respected composer, winning the Julian Slade songwriting competition two years running. Mark has also directed a variety of successful shows, including The Drowsy Chaperone, Merrily We Roll Along and his personal favourite, Into The Woods.
Mark's work is available for performances and workshops for professional companies and drama schools, and also offers services for directing, writing and dramaturgy.
